Show Wednesday, August 7, aim 1974 Page 4 OUR COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES UNITED CEREBRAL PALSY OF UTAH WEAVING WORKSHOP Bunny Rubin and Eleanor Hunter , members of the Denver Weavers Guild, will be in Park City in needs your Time and Talent August to conduct a weaving workshop. Classes will start Sunday night, August 18th, and will run nou ' in the process of developing programs for the Fall & Winter Recreation Program. Morning sessions will include instruction on three types of weaving - inkle, rigid heddle, and four harness; afternoon sessions will consist of films, more demonstrations, and project discussions. The fee for the workshop is $35 and includes the use of the looms; also for those interested, looms will be for sale. Each student will plan and complete one project; the cost of the yam will be ex- with: Cerebral Palsy , Mental Retardation Muscular Dystrophy , etc. like very much to provide programs that challenge and interest these children , young adults and adults. Too often programs lack the creativity and level of interest needed to motivate these people. We would tra. The Summer Recreation Program is sponsoring a Hayride and Cookout for Park City teenagers. Date: Friday, August 16th. Time: 5:30 PM. Place: Meet at Park - Hayride starts from Park West. Cost: $1.50, including dinner. If you would like to go along, let Kathy or Pam know, at the Park, before Friday the 16th, and bring your $1.50. Every Monday and Wednesday throughout the summer, the Recreation Program has conducted sessions in arts & crafts. The artwork from these sessions will be on display at the Memorial Building during the Arts Festival. All those who participated in the Art Program should bring their works to the Park before 6 PM, Wednesday, August 14th. There will be a 3rd session of Horseback Riding lessons starting on Monday, August 19th. This program is sponsored by the Summer Recreation Program. Those participating will learn to saddle, groom, and ride horses. Minimum age is 8 years old, and maximum age is 18. There will be a total of 7 I- hours riding and instruction time for $25. If you arc interested, call the Park, before Monday, August 19th. - 049-861- 5, TUESDAY, AUGUST 13: 10 AM: Meet at Park for Horseback Riding. Sign up at Park in advance. Bring $2.50 for horse rental. Minimum at stables at 10: 30 AM if you are riding your age own horse. 8.-Me- et 12:30 PM: Games at Park. WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 14: PM: Art - finishing mural for Arts Festival. Dont forget to bring your works of art youve done earlier this summer. 2:30PM: Flag Football. 12 noon-- 2 THURSDAY, AUGUST 15: PM: Meet at Park for trip to the Homestead $1 if youre over 12 years old or 50 cents if under 12. Pack lunch or bring money to buy lunch. We need a few volunteers to drive (Mom? Dad?) . 3:30 PM: Skate board afternoon. Bring your skate board; or roller skates - well make a skate board out of them. 11 AM-- 3 to swim. Bring FRIDAY, AUGUST 16: PM: Youngsters Day.
