Show Wednesday, September 25, IK CITY am 1374 BRIEFS Page U HISTORICAL SOCIETY Connie Woolsey, Nan McPolin and Vilma Lewis represented the Park City Historical Society at the local chapters meeting at the State Historical Society vention on Friday, September 6th. Mrs. F. Lyman Lewis has been appointed to take the position of program chairwoman, filling the vacancy created by Mrs. Sabena Raab, who has moved to Salt Lake City. The First meeting of the P.C. Historical Society will be at the City Park Thursday, September 26, at 6 PM. A tour of the Coalition Terminal Bldg, on Park Avenue will be conducted for members by Niles Andrus. Those attending should bring their own supper; hot dogs and hamburgers can be cooked on the new grills. L NIGHT FIRE The Park City Fire Department responded to a blaze at the 2 Seasons restaurant at 4 AM Friday, September 20th. The fire reportedly started in the restaurants trash room, but no cause has yet been determined. The resulting damage has forced the 2 Seasons to close and it S I'r- Con- will not reopen until November 13th . KIVVANIS New officers for the upcoming year will be installed on Wednesday, October 2nd, the first meeting of the Kiwanis new year. Vice-Preside- nt er CHAMBER OF COMMERCE October 2nd, 11AM is the date and time set for the Chamber of Commerce board meeting. A membership drive to stimulate new interest in the Chamber of Commerce is presently under consideration. PYTHIANS The fraternal organization, The Pythians, will host Viola Christensen, Grand Chief of Utah, at their October 4th meeting at 8PM in the Memorial Building. PAST CHIEFS CLUB The Past Chiefs Club held their regular meeting on Monday evening at the Memorial Building with Ruby Dingle presiding. After club business was discussed, the women had a social with prizes. Winners included Marge Angeli and Louise Snow. Delicious refreshments were served by hostesses Helen Stathom and Ruby Dingle. FIRE AT 2 SEASONS LADIES OF ST. MARYS The Ladies of St. Marys held their first meeting of the year Monday, September 16th, at 8PM. The Catholic Womens group meets' once a month.
