The cause for alarm was the July 15th, 1974, due date on the bills. As interpreted by a large number of recipients, the notice called for payment of large sums of money in a short period of time. Mr. Garbis ami his children, along with two train crew members, were trapped in the mountain by a cave-i- n which prevented the train from returning to the mouth of the tunnel. The trip into the mine went without a hitch, but on the way back, the crew members were puzzled as to why they could not see light at the end of the tunnel as usual. Three thousand feet from the entrance, the cave-i- n was discovered. Mr. Warren King, President of GPCC, jested that Mr. Garbis would be charged extra for the extended tour. The Resort did, in fact, refund Mr. Garbis money and treated him and his children to dinner.
