The YCC of Ogden/Northern Utah is a private membership-based, non-profit service organization with 60 years of community building in Northern Utah. YCC’s mission is to provide comprehensive services to support and enhance the quality of life for all women, children, and families. Their centers and community outreach programs provide services for at-risk families and individuals, especially those in crisis situations. YCC provides a safe place for women and children who are the survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Victims are provided shelter with a safe supportive atmosphere, helping victims review options and to make positive changes in their lives. The center’s services are available 24 hours a day. In addition, victims and their children may receive individual or group counseling and assistance in attaining self-sufficiency. The family Enrichment Center focuses on empowering and educating families so they can gain skills, and access resources necessary for improving conditions that formerly have left them at risk. The YCC’s Homeless and Housing Assistance Center is helping families move away from homelessness by providing transitional housing, and help with goal setting and plan implementation—skills that will lead them toward _ self-sufficiency.
