A reception was held in their honor at the Ben Lomond LDS Fourth Ward in North Ogden. The bride is the daughter of David L. and Ruth Ann Gladwell of North Ogden. Michaela was escorted down the aisle by her father R. David Smallwood who traveled from their home state of Alabama with his wife Billie Alician to attend the ceremony. A light dinner and reception followed the vows, which were performed by Bishop Lance Albrechtse Many ood friends and family members enjoyed celebration. Michaela’s two brothers, Phillip and Thomas who reside in Utah, were also in attendance. Christopher is from Eden, Utah, and returned from the LDS Spain Bilboa Mission in May 2006. Christopher is the son of John and Kim Brady and brother of Kimber and Amber Brady, also in attendance. Christopher’ s brother Jonathan is currently serving in the Chile Osorno Mission. After the wedding, the couple honeymooned in Moab, Utah where they 4wheedled and went sight seeing in the Arches of Utah. LTC Gail Marie Guthrie Long, U.S. Army (Ret.), 49, died November 19, 2006 at her home in DeRidder, Louisiana, a casualty of cancer. She was born August 6, 1957 in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of Donald L. and E. Guthrie. On November 24, 1982, Gail married CW3 Gregory Robert Long, U.S. Army (Ret.), the son of Cecil G. and Elaine L. Long of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. They have one son, Mathew Gerad Long, DeRidder, Louisiana. She was a member of the Baptist Church. She graduated from Weber High School and Weber State University. She was a licensed beautician. Following enlistment in the Army Reserve, she worked at Davis North Hospital in Clearfield, Utah as a licensed practical nurse. She was commissioned into the United States Army in 1980. She was subsequently stationed throughout the United States, ermany, Kosovo, and Southwest Asia with units of the 101 Airborne Infantry Divisions, the Army Medical Command, and the Joint Readiness Training Center, Fort Polk, LA.
