You are truly incredible and it makes us realize once again how fortunate we are to live in such a place as this. Just a quick update on Karen’s situation; this has been a whirlwind week for Jeff and Karen with many decisions to make. They finally ended up deciding to work with a physician in Salt Lake City that operated on October 11 to remove the biggest part of the tumor—but not all of it. The treatment after this surgery is still to be determined. Again, thanks for all your love and kindness! Valley Resident Thanks Valley Neighbors Where does one begin to thank the great people of this beautiful Valley—those who live from Huntsville to Liberty? It started with the thanks I expressed in my first letter to the editor four years ago to all the people who helped me clean up my place. It was like stepping into a Norman Rockwell painting. Since then, I’ve had people help me save a small filly born in the February snow; help clear my driveway when I was without means other than a snow shovel; help me with my dad’s funeral; and even help by stepping up to share land for pasture for my beloved horses. Recently I have been doing some dog grooming in my home. Over the past four years it was known that I had a lot of back problems and that it was difficult for me to bend over my bathtub to accomplish this bathing of pets. Now, some special people who live in Eden and Liberty have funded the material and a local construction company, along with a grooming patron, installed a large pump and waist high tub in my basement. I simply don’t know how to let everyone know how very much all this has meant to me. I get teary eyed just thinking about it. May God bless you all, and my sincere thanks. How great this whole world could be if everyone could be as loving and thoughtful as are those who live in the Valley; surely the world wouldn’t be in the mess that it is today.
