Show THE Page 4 OGDEN VALLEY NEWS March Snowbasin to Host Easter Egg Hunt and Brunch Join us for Easter Sunday Brunch at Earl’s Lodge at Snowbasin A Sun Valley Resort. With more than 30 delightful brunch choices, Snowbasin’s Easter Sunday Brunch is a mouthwatering experience that includes freshly made pastries and breads. Enjoy your feast while listening to live entertainment and viewing the breathtaking sights courtesy of the Rocky Mountains. Reservations required Easter Sunday brunch will be served from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The price for adults is $29.50; children ages 5 through 10, $15.50. There is no cost for children 4 and under. Additional Easter Sunday festivities will include an Easter Egg Hunt for children ages 5 to 10. The fun begins at 9:00 a.m. on Little Cat. A special Easter Egg Hunt in Wildflower Meadows is planned for children 4 and under. Easter crafts for children and their parents will be offered in the daycare center from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Wolf Creek Resort Renames to “Tracks” in Contest Wolf Creek Resort is pleased to announce the winner of the “N That Deli” contest Stevens, a part-time Eden resident who lives in Santa Barbara full-time, submitted the winning name of “Tracks.” She won a free breakfast every week for one year at Tracks. Ivy had numerous creative suggestions but it was her “Tracks” that was a resounding winner. “Tt was a really tough decision,” stated George ee Food & Beverage Director at Wolf Resort. “We had so many wonderful, crea entries. All of us felt that Tracks was perfect for several reasons: the wolf tracks in our floor, the fact that we’re calling our trail network around Wolf Creek properties ‘tracks,’ and all the other kinds of tracks we have here in the Valley: moose, deer, snowshoes, first tracks, and so forth. David Peterson and his mother Maureen Peterson of Eden recently returned from a three week studies abroad program and tour to the Middle East. They will be showing pictures and talking about their experiences in Israel, Egypt, and Jordan. The fireside is open to the general public, and will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Huntsville LDS Stake Center located on Highway 166 in the multipurpose room. David would like to thank all those who contributed to make this trip possible. International Students Bring the World to Weber State University Weber State University invites the community to enjoy a night of dinner, dancing, and entertainment at the international student banquet “Bringing the World to WSU” on March 26 at 6:00 p.m. in the Shepherd Union Ballroom. The banquet—which is sponsored by Services for International Students, the International Student Area Council, and the International Student Club—is designed to allow international students the opportunity to share their culture with the community. The event concludes International Student Emphasis Week at Weber State University. The dinner will feature food from around the world, including Japanese, Chinese, Korean, German, Middle Eastern, Taiwanese, Peruvian, Indian, and Italian. Entertainment will showcase Scottish, German, Asian, Ukrainian, and Polynesian dancing, as well as a cultural fashion show and door prizes. For each ticket purchased, $2 will be donated to tsunami relief funds. Ticket prices are $12 for WSU students with a Wildcard I.D, $15 for adults and $8 for children ages 3-12. Children under 3 are free. Tickets can be purchased at the Shepherd Union Information Booth or in the Student Service Center in room 143. Adult Book Discussion Group @ Your Library: The Screwtape Letters The Ogden Valley Branch Library will be continuing its Searching Inward adult book discussion series with The Screwtape Letters on April 20 at 7:00 p.m. The discussion will be led by Lynne D. Finney, J.D., M.S.W. Lynne D. Finney, J.D., M.S.W., is an author, educator, retired attorney and psychotherapist, life coach, and motivational speaker who specializes in helping people live more fulfilling lives and create new realities. She has appeared on hundreds of radio and TV shows, including Leeza, NPR, ABC, CBS, NBC, KTKK, and Larry King Live. Lynne’s newest book, Windows to the Light - Enriching Your Spirit with Haiku Meditations, is a gift book of haiku poetry meditations and art.
