Fourteen children decorated pumpkins for the contest and about thirty people attended. First prize winner received a large “hugs” bear and runner up received a small “kiss” bear supplied by Her: shey’ s. Claire Tanner of Huntsville won first price and David Sine of Magna received runner up prize. Punch, Eerie Eyeball cookies, and other cookies were served along with plenty of Hershey’s candy supplied to decorate the pumpkins. Pumpkins were judged according to creative use of the product, relevance to the Halloween theme, and originality. All the employees of the Huntsville Post office would like to thank all those who came and supported the contest and those who helped supply items for our use iN The Headless Horseman, Billie Shaum, roamed the Haunted Hotel parking lot to scare guests as they arrived. Winder Dairy donated over 200 milkjugs to the project, which were cut and painted by students. Larger than life ghouls, goblins, grim reapers, and paper Mache masks created by the students now line the hallways, watching for victims traveling between classes by day.
