Show CAR STRIKES BUGGY; BOY SERIOUSLY HURT Salt Lake. July 12 Arthur Roberts, Rob-erts, 1C ears of age, son of Mrs. Alice Roberts of 24C Fifth East street, was soorely Injured last night at 8 30 when the Inbound Wan-damcro Wan-damcro car struck and demolished a buggy In which the boy was riding Tho horse's back was broken In two places and tho horse was afterwards shot. Tho boy was taken to the emergency emerg-ency hospital and his Injuries dressed by Dr H B Sprague. He suffered two Blight fractures of the skull and a scalp wound extending In tho shape of tho letter L across his brow and up Into tho hair of his head. Young Roberts was returning' after having taken a party of fishermen to East canyon. He becamo confused when an automobile tried to pass him and drove in front of tho street car. The Ashton avenuo car struck the delivery wagon of R E Rich, Jr.. who keeps a meat market at 768 Wost North Templo street, at tho intersection inter-section of Second West and Fifth North streets, ut 2 o'clock yestoiday, breaking the wagon and throwing from It and injuring Earl Lund, son of H M H. Lund. 64C WeBt North Temple The boy suffered a scalp wound, and severe bruises. Ho w'as taken to the Groves L- D. S. hospital Three other boys who were In the wagon got off without serious hurt. |
