The election and installation were the last of the ceremonies of tho fortieth annual session, and the evening even-ing was glvon ovor to a fine banquet, with W. J. Barretto as tortstmaster. Among the ilasonlc dignitaries responding re-sponding to tojsts were C. B. Jack, past worshipful swnd master, and Dr. G B. Pfoutz, worshipful grand master. C S. Varlau responded to the toast, "Brotherly Lovo and Fraternity;" Rev-Samuel Rev-Samuel Goodwin, deputy grand master, mas-ter, principal of Proctor academy of Provo, spoke on "Personal Tie and Its Value;" Rev. P. A Slmpkin, grand chaplain, eloquently discussed "Craft Ideal and Personal Obligation;" Gcorie H Dern, grand serior warden; J. W. Chorry of Mt. Pleasant, grand junior warden, and others made appropriate ap-propriate responses. When Chris Diehl was presented for tho fortieth time as grand secretary he was greeted with prolonged applause, ap-plause, and the retiring grand master presented him with a rose as emblematic emblem-atic of tho high esteem In which be Is held by tho fraternity. on |
