Show bills nm m LORiER DEAL WASHINGTON, -July 5. Means for the prevention of frauds or corruption corrup-tion in the election of representatives to congress were proposed in two bills introduced today by Representative Powers of Kentucky, once a conspicuous conspicu-ous figure in his state's gubernatorial election troubles. In one bill Mr Powers proposes a fine of from $1,000 to $3,000, or from one to three years' imprisonment for intimidation of voters at any primary or general olectiou for the use of money or for threats in securing votes. A second bill provides that there be created a commission of the house of representatives, consisting of three civilians, to investigate all ejections. oo |
