The Walsh campaign managers tonight mado no secret of tho fact that they Wero willing to withdraw their can-dldato can-dldato in the morning in the evont that Mr. Conrad would likewise withdraw, with-draw, and the efforts of tho Democratic Democrat-ic leaders, anxious to break the deadlock, dead-lock, wero contored upon efforts to bring tho latter to a realization that ho can not bo elected at this session. Mr. Conrad's managers, however, profess pro-fess to sec In the contemplated with drawal of Walsh, air opportunity for victory and some are urging that he stay in the race. Walsh Leader's Statement. Representative Donahue, of Dawson, ono of the strongest Walsh leaders, tonight to-night authorized this statement: "If Mr. Conrad withdraws tomorrow, tomor-row, tho withdrawal of Walah will be announced in thirty seconds. If Conrad Con-rad stays in the race, however, some of the Walsh men will continue to vote for him (Walsh) whethor he wants us to or not This 1b final so far as the men who hnve supported Mr. Walsh Is concerned.
