Gilmorc on October Gth last, has progressed quite rapidly, and at tho time of adjournment adjourn-ment this evening the state had about completed Its evidence. The witnesses wit-nesses examined were Sheriff Collins and Deputy Sheriff Kommors of Great Falls; Dr. Fairfield and William Gir-aid, Gir-aid, in whoso well tho murdered man was found. Attorney O Leary for tho defense stated that ho would prove that the defendant was panic stricken and out of his head when he threw the body into the well. Defendant's mother and sister from Washington arc in attendance upon the trial and during ihe Intermission visited with him It is explained that the case will be finished tomorrow evening. |
