Show 1 MISS BROWNING'S RECITAL. The recital of Miss Carrie Browning, Brown-ing, at tho First Congregational church Monday evening,. high appreciated appreciat-ed by a Inrje number of Salt Lako lovers of classic music. Miss Brownings Brown-ings technique ' wonderful, greatly above the general run of musicians. She seemed to lose herself entirely In ber work, and played wlih an abandon aban-don uncommon for ene of her years, I aur with the total lack or the grotesque, gro-tesque, attack which characterizes so many students of the piano. The programme was well selected, concerto No. 5, Saint Saens, lieing the most famous work of the most famouj living composer, while concerto No. 1. Beethoven, affords ample opportunity opportun-ity to display every phase of planlstic execution and skill.
