Show Road To Logan-Cache Logan-Cache Airport May Be Improved Re-aligning, grading and resurfacing resur-facing of the road from highway 91 to the Logan-Cache airport was taken under consideration by the state road commission following follow-ing a visit by a Cache delegation to the commission Monday. The present road extends westward from the main highway at a point ; about two miles north of the Logan Lo-gan city limits. It is proposed that a section of the road be realigned, and that : the entire length be surfaced. Es- timated cost of the improvement amounts to $20,000. Members of the commission said they would i make a trip to Cache county to j inspect the proposed project, although al-though no date for the inspection has been set. Those who made the trip to Salt Lake City to confer with the commission were Mayor William Wil-liam Evans, Jr., City commissioner commission-er George B. Bowen, county commissioners com-missioners William Worley, Leo C. Nielsen and H. Ray Pond, M. R. Hovey, secretary of the Logan Lo-gan chamber of commerce; and George D. Clyde, dean of the engineering en-gineering school at the college. Numerous improvements are slated slat-ed for the Logan-Cache airport and city and county officials feel that a new road is necessary to handle automobile traffic to and from the airport. |
