Show Group Studies OPA Problems A host of problems arising from the administration of wartime rationing ra-tioning programs were threshed out at a general and four group meetings for 60 members of war 'price and rationing boards, community com-munity service groups and price panels from Cache,, Box Elder and Rich counties in Logan Wednesday Wed-nesday night. A general meeting under direction direc-tion of O. Guy Cardon, chairman of the Cache county board, was followed by special group meet- mgs for members of tire and gasoline gaso-line rationing, food raitoning, community com-munity service and price panel representatives. Present from the state office of price administration staff to explain ex-plain policies were S. Grover Rich, state rationing executive; James L. Purvis, district food rationing representative; W. H. Young, rent examiner for the Salt Lake 'area; J. L Miller, field price supervisor fcr state price panels; J. M. Bean, state price specialist; Edward Richards, state rationing attorney and Gail Martin, assistant publicity public-ity director with the office of war information. Mr. Young said the OPA "ap predates the attitude of landlords and tenants in Cache county and sees no reason at present for extending ex-tending our jurisdiction to this county, we hope we will receive their continued cooperation in ef-' forts to hold the line on rents. |
