' . ..: . . - . i : ' " " : 1 Miss Berneita Tout . . . whose approaching marriage is announced Engagement Announced Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Tout of Smithfield announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Berneita, to Ensign Robert Rob-ert A. Ballard, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. D. Ballard of Dmper. The young couple will exchange wedding vows late in December at the station chapel in Corpus Christi, Texas. Honoring Miss Tout a beautifully appointed trousseau tea was given by her mother on December 5th at the home of Mrs. Gene Sorensen in Smithfield. A color scheme of pink -and green was carried out and a lovely bouquet of pink roses, snapdragons, and white chrysanthemums in. twined by myrtle leaf formed the centerpiece for the serving table. Green and pink tapers banked tho centerpiece. Forming the receiving .line were the bride-to-be, gowned in a pastel blue formal; her mother, in Royal Blue, and Mrs. Sorenson in black. All wore pink rosebud corsages with white chrysanthemums. More than 200 called during the appointed hours. Assisting in the trousseau room were Connie Perkins, Eva Plowman, Plow-man, Ruth Erickson, Jean Taylor, Ivaloo Downs, Faye Durney, Mrs. Budd Tout, Mrs. Glen Tout, Mrs. Vernal Newbold and Ivagent Olson. Miss Tout is a graduate of North Cache high school with the class of 1943 where she was prominent in student activities. Ensign Ballard graduated from Jordan high school in 1939 and enlisted in the naval air corps in May, 1942. |
