Show Military Rites For H. F. Olsen Military Rites were conducted ! Saturday in the Benson Stake ; Tabernacle for H. F. Olsen, Spanish Span-ish American War Veteran, who was fatally injured Thanksgiving day when struck y a bus in Mesa, Arizona. He died Mouday j morning. Bishop LeRoy C. Funk of the Richmond South Ward conducted I 1 the services. Prayers were by ; Cyrus Lewis and Patriarch H. ; Ray Pond. Resolutions of Respect fron the William Q. Anderson Cam) of the Department of Utah Vetor ans of the Spanish American Wa were read by Peter C. Felsteai of Logan. Remarks were made by Bisho LeRoy C. Funk who expressei the thanks of the family for th service and sympathy given ther in their bereavement. Speaker were L. F. Hendricks and Georg O. Webb, neighbor and clos associate. Garner of Ogden and Vernetta Garner of Salt Lake City are spending a week visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Hall 6f the Hyrum Third ward. They are the father and sister of Mrs. Hall. The Sea Gull Girls of the First Ward Primary were entertained at the home of Gloria Albretsen on Wednesday night. The i0s sewed on their aprons and during a social hour chi i, pie and ice cream were served. Girls who attended were Kay Dawn Bailey, Wahnita Allied, Mary Jean Nielsen, Mary Thomas, Thom-as, Jean McBride, Sheron Bradley and Gloria Albretsen. I I He told of his civic service, and 1 stated that he had also served j I diligently on the chapel building committee of the Richmond ' South Ward and had contributed readily to worthy causes. Mr. Webb stated that Mr. Olsen was ambitious and thrifty, lived a well-balanced and consistent con-sistent life, was a loving husband and a kind father. He had been the first volunteer from Fremont County to enlist in the Spanish American War service. Prayer at the home prior to the services was offered by Cyril Funk. ITeal J. Hilyard of the American Legion acted as sergeant serge-ant at arms for the military r.tes. He was-assisted by Floyd and Ernest Tripp and Fred Broady.
