Show Power Company To Extend Rural Lines Anticipating the electrictil needs of the rural areas in Northern Utah and Southeastern Idaho, the Utah Power and Light Company plans consruction of 38 miles of new rural distribution lines during dur-ing the balance of the year 1940 in the Preston division, it was announced by R. R. Rowell, division div-ision manager of the company. Already in the first five months mon-ths of 1940, Mr. Rowell stated, 35 miles of new rural distribution distribut-ion lines have been built. This expansion program in 1940 will bring electric service to approximately approx-imately 250 farms and will cost in the neiborhood of $67,000. 4 The new shiny wires, extending service to rural areas will bo stretched in areas continuous to Grace, Thatche.r, Lago and Cleveland; Cleve-land; Preston, Swan Lake, Mink Creek and Downey; Montpelier and Nounan; Richmond, Smith-field, Smith-field, Petersboro, Avon and Mill-ville.
