Tina Lewis Halloween Carnival Chairman , We Made A Mistake Editor: . Your article on refund policy last week mentioned that Central Reservations was the Chamber's, but this is not the case. Central Reservations is owned, operated and subsidized by the Park City Lodging Assocation. The Lodging Assc. is nine years old this year and includes 32 lodges, which is all but one. (Park City Enterprises). The Reservation Center has been open one year and Tom Hansen Han-sen is doing an excellent job, but due to the lack of snow, the Reservation Center has needed the help of the lodges and the ski resort. When it comes to money (about $10,000), we should give credit where credit is due, and this is not the Chamber but the lodges in town., The Lodging Assoc. -Res. Center is a great asset to the town as a whole and does try to work closely with the chamber. This year's Park City brochure selling Park City should reach about a million people. The marketing dept. at the resort and the Lodging Assoc. have to work almost a year ahead to sell the next season. Unfortunately, when the snow falls,' the people just don't fall out of the sky. Much work and effort is done to sell Park City worldwide. The budget for the Lodging Assoc., which inlcudes the brochure and Res. Center this year, is over $76,000. Funds come from the ski resort, lodges and Summit . County Travel. Most of the brochure is done by Craig Badami and Laura Thomas, marketing at the resort. The distribution is by them and the res. Center. Much time and effort goes into selling Park City by the Lodging Assoc. ' , I want to thank everyone in the Lodging Assoc. for all of the support that has been given adn will be given in the future to keep Park City a viable town and I hope other people and businesses will be able to get together and make it a year-round resort town. The $70,000 surprises sur-prises me a bit, but maybe it was a $200,00 job, I don't know. ... E. R. McNabb I think they are very fitting. They make me feel happy because they remind me of my home town. Jeanne Hucko I'm surprised at the cost, but I think they make a neat setting. I like the Park '' " City decor.
