The work will liegin,' 'as 'soon as weather permiljl;,',, Recording to City Manager Arlene Loble. First, however, the City Council must decide whether to use the brick already purchased pur-chased for the project, or an alternative. The material that is most appropriate historically for the sidewalk, Loble said, is "plain old concrete." con-crete." Brick may create a problem by being too slippery slip-pery on a slope, she said. If it is not used on Main Street, it could be utilized for the courtyard court-yard at the Miner's Hospital library. The Council will decide about the use within a few weeks, Loble said. In the agency's 1981-82 budget, $156,200 was set aside for the sidewalk project. Loble said the use of concrete would cut the cost by about half. (The budget also includes land acquisition costs of about $1 million and $15,000 in administrative ad-ministrative costs. ) Loble said the Redevelopment Redevelop-ment Agency has up to now, spent money for the acquisition acquisi-tion of a series of parcels along Swede Alley. The agency will exist legally until it accomplishes a program involving some $6.5 million in expenditures. Loble said it should accomplish accom-plish that in around six years. i i i i i i OssO SPRING TIRE SPECIAL Imported Steel Belted Radials Wide range of sizes from $36.
