Show Wednesday, June 29, 1977 THE Page 3 Money Taken From Mt. Air Market Approximately $1,200 in cash and $584 in food stamps were stolen from the Mt. Air Market Sunday evening and police have issued a state-wide alert for two men who left the scene in a late model car believed to have Arizona license plates. Park City Police Chief Garth Wilkinson said the two suspects were observed lingering outside the store's office just prior to the theft which was reported at 6:30 p.m. and that one of the men was seen leaving the unlocked office. Wilkinson said employees who witnessed the man exiting the office thought owner George Polychronis was inside. The money and food stamps were in a money bag which was discovered missing soon after the suspects had departed. The food stamps had "Mt. Air Market" stamped on them, Wilkinson said. The suspects were seen leaving the store's parking lot in a late model Lincoln Continental said to be either black or silver in color with license plates which were "probably" from Arizona. The police said only a "vague" description of the v o men was available from witnesses. One suspect was described as approximately 6'3" tall with blond hair while the other was said to be dark skinned with dark curly hair. A state-wide alert for the suspects' car was put into effect immediately after the burglary was reported but Wilkinson said the pair have not been located. Mr. Milliner Retires After 33 Yrs.
