There were several meetings and trainings to attend as well as entertainment and awards. Brett Ostler accepted a pin and certificate for Yard White, MEMORIAL Boyd S. Park, former Nephi Fire Chief, was honored during a special memorial service. His wife, Thearl, received a plaque from the Utah State Firemans Association. The trip to the convention was made possible by Nephi City. , Blaine Warren Martell passed (Gene) Frisby of Mapleton, and away June 26, 1999, in Salt Lake Joy (Gary) Nelson of Spanish City, Fork; and one brother, Miles (Eleanor) Gardner of Jacksonville, Florida. Funeral services will be held Wednesday; June 30, 1999, at 11:00 a.m., at the Garden Heights LDS North Ward, 2220 East Fisher Lane. Friends may call Wednesday for one hour prior to the services. Interment, Dedication of Grave, and Military Honors will be at the Santaquin City Cemetery, at 3:00 Utah. Blaine was born May 26, 1926, in Spanish Fork to Morgan and Lucille Warren Martell. He grew up in Santaquin where he lived with his aunt and uncle, Otto and Eliza Peterson. At age seventeen he joined the U.S. Marine Corp where he served in the South Pacific during WW II. After service, he married Elda Jar-re- tt July 26, 1946, in the Manti relaLDS Temple. This tionship started in Santaquin, p.m. where Blaine owned and operated his own auto mechanic business for over 20 yean. In 1966 Blaine and Elda moved to Salt 53-ye- ar Lake City, where he worked un- til retiring as a machinist at the Iboele Army Depot. He was an active member of the LDS Church serving in the Elders Quorum Presidency, Sunday School Presidency, and Secretary of the Elders Quorum. Blaine and Elda served as Stake Missionaries and ordinance worken at the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Blaine lovfd fishing and hunting.
