He took up the various reasons why the local battery should be supported. From a financial standpoint he reported that over $20,000.00 had been brought into this community in the year 1927. At one of the most enthusiastic meetings of baseball fans ever held in this part of the state, a six team amateur baseball league was organized at Mt. Pleasant Wednesday evening. Representatives from each of the larger towna In Sanpete county and Nephi, met and organized the Sanpete-Nepleague. From the reports of the delegates present, the time was ripe in this section of the state, to organize, and the following towns belong to the new league: Nephi, Moroni, Ephraim, Manti, Mt.
