Show PA6E Tli Neighbor, Holladay, Salt Labe County, Utah Wednesday, St' pi. 18, P age 4 1V6 3 Olympus High News The Thunder Dolt, Olympui High School paper, put out its first edition on Hello Day, almost two weeks ago. But its staff is still busy tiling left over papers and mailing some ont to neighboring schools. The Morgue (a file of activities to be used at any time to fill space in a page Layout) must contain fresh, interesting features of value for student readers. Also, the staff analyzes papers of schools in the area to pick out good and bad points both. This way the T Bolt can apply their knowledge in regard to their paper. Although a paper comes out only once a month, the staff is constantly striving for an interesting paper of good quality that will interest the student body. Hie first Olympus Council meeting was held Wednesday, Sept. 11. A representative from each, homeroom was present. Members discussed many topics to help make the school year a success. Assemblies have been arranged to include the whole student body this year. There will be no class or club assemblies that everyone who is interested can participate will be planned. Students may sign up for work in any of the following areas: Writing, directing, scenery, dancing, music, or dramatics. The Usher Club, boys, to keep order in assemblies, has been dispensed with u. hopes th.t Titans may be on a honor tem this year. If it is necessary to remove anyone, they must go before the Honor Council, headed by Keith Larier. Here, they will be required to memorize the Olympus High School Code. After repeated Honor misconduct the Council has the power to take firmer measures. Candidates for class offices made their campaign speeches last Monday. Tuesday were the primary elections, and Friday will be the final elections. There will be a president, vice president, and secretary for each class. The Symphony Sub-Deheld their orientation meeting last Friday. This year Barbara Goegleiv will be president. The s are a member of a wide organization existing city Sub-Deh- for the purpose of promoting culture through attendance at the civic concerts. Also, they and a ball have a dinner-danc- e as part of their years activities. The Bowling Club and Homemaking Club both have started their meetings for the year. More clubs are being organized every day and fun awaits all Titans. P.S. We tied uur game with Davis 0-- f Welcome Neighbor D.
