Show The National Enterprise, August 17, 1977 Page three Total loan volume down After racking up an 11.4 percent increase in total loans outstanding for Salt Lake City banks for the week ended July 13, the past two weeks have seen the loan totals retreat from the record $1,391 million to $1,259 million. According to the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, the decline over the two weeks came in the Federal Funds component, which accounted for the initial 11.4 percent increase on July 13. Federal Funds outstanding fell to $59 million for the week ended July 27 from $188 million recorded in the week ended July 13. The Federal Reserve reported over the two weeks ended July 27, commercial loans outstanding at Salt Lake City banks dropped from $440 million to $432 million. Real estate debt rose from $417 million to $422 million, and consumer loans added $4 million to close at $202 million. (See graph.)
