Salt Lake loan volume increases Total loans outstanding for Salt Lake City banks increased slightly to $1,255 million for the week ending June 29. (See graph.) According to figures obtained from the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, the current weekly total is 2.3 percent above last weeks figure, and 15.7 percent above the year ago total of $1,085 million loans outstanding. Commercial and industrial loan growth over the week was flat, while real estate loans increased by one million dollars. The biggest gain came in the consumer loan category where the figure was $198 million, up for million dollars.
