Show UINTAH BASIN CORRESPONDENCE : .MOUNTAIN HOME The people of .Mt. Home were surprised last Wednesday when the word went out that Floyd Farns-v.orth Farns-v.orth and Ulldah Rassmussen had gone to Duchesne for a license to wed. They returned and were married mar-ried in the evening by Justice of the Peace D. B. Farnsworth father of the groom. On Friday night they gave their wedding dance In the MJ. Home hall. Quite a large number were out and had a jolly time. On the 17th, their neighbors and friends i pave them a shower. They received a number of useful presents. There has been quite a number of cattle buyers in the last few days. They have bought quite a number and are still buying. Several of the men have gone deer hunting. Mr.Jowett Fortie and bride have returned from Salt La?e. BLUEBELL 4, Mrs. Alzina Johnston returned from her trip to Manti, Price and other parts well and happy. Bishop Wilkins of Mt. Home was our home missionary Sunday. Chas. Bird has a nice little house association. Mrs. Ricnardson was! I chosen as president, Misses Vernon and Demaiue our lady teachers wore chosen vice-president and secretary. Mrs. McCurty Ethel llullinger and . Mr. Richardson were chosen as a I committee to arrange for annise-I annise-I ments at the meetings. Mr. Vernon Is also organizing an orchestra. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Burton Bur-ton a bouncing baby boy. Born to Mrs. Afton Sprouso a bouncing baby boy. The baby's father. Claude Sprouse died a few weeks ago. Mr. C. C. Larsen was visiting this ward as home missionary. LEETO.V Phillip Scrogglns nas returned from a short visit in Huntington. Burns McKowen has gone to Willow Wil-low creek to work on the road. Ward conference here last Sunday was a success. The principal speakers speak-ers were Ephriam Lambert and President Colton of Roosevelt. Parley Lambert went to Vernal Tuesday. Mr. Hullinger and family visited in Lapoint Sunday. Parent-Teacher meeting was held in the school house Tuesday evening. They effected an organization. nah had been broken into by some thief who broke .the window glass and carried off a great many articles. Mr. James Prows had i birthday party at the home of his mother. A number of his friends wet' Vesent. The Ioka teachers were to the Chautauqua one night last week. The M. I. A. dance was well attended at-tended everyone enjoyed the- evening. The new huller is in operation on Mr. Hardman's seed. Carlile and family have gone to Heber on a visit. Lincoln Burgener and Ardella Smith were married last Saturday by Bishop Burgener. Mr. Burgener is , employed at Ninemile and the young couple will make their home there for the present. We wish them a prosperous and happy journey through life. LAPOIXT Against the protests of her parents, par-ents, Miss Zena Thompson of this place, was married to Mr. Laurence Caldwell also of La Point on Saturday. Satur-day. The parents objected so strongly strong-ly that they sought to restrain the young lady by force, being assisted by relatives. However the young bridegroom won out and the young couple hastened to Vernal where they were married. Mr. and Mrs. Caldwell are living at the home of Mr. Caldwell's parents. The school ball team are preparing to play with the Moffat team on Friday. Mrs. Cyrus Thompson has recovered recov-ered from her seige of illness sufficiently suffi-ciently to be out again. TRIDELL Schools are now so full that it has become necessary to run hair day sessions ses-sions in one class of the primary department. de-partment. A number of the students who are attending high school away from home were week-end visitors last week. Leland Mooseman, twelve-year-old son of John Mooseman, was thrown to the ground when his horse fell with him going home from school Thursday and knocked unconscious. His condition remained the same for two and one half days. He ha3 now rallied and is recovering. His injuries consisted ot bruises about the face and head. CEDAR VIEW Mr. Vernon, the principal of our school, organized a iiarent-teacher Leeton Ladies Circle met at the home of Mrs. Less O'Drlscoll Thursday, Thurs-day, after meeting refreshments were served. FRUITLAXD Will Ivie, Peter Ivie and Elmer Sweat have been using the grader on the road and smoothing it ip .1 little since the recent rain. Several of the members of the Red Creek Irrigation company have been cleaning out the canal :n order to fill their reservoirs for winter. Some of the floods filled and brjkc the ditch quite badly. C. W. Fisher and sons George and Clinton went to Duchesne to see the new daughter and sisters. Mr. Goodrich passed through Fruitlad Thursday on nis way to th-3 office of the Forest Administration at Ogden for the final set'lement on his contract on the rruitiand-Heber road. Ralph Lidblade came cut from Salt Lake to spend a few days deer hunting at Fruitland. Sellers of Midview was a home missionary in our ward Sunday. Sun-day. Mr. M. A. Ross is here from Salt Lake visitng his family. Miss Celia Olsen visited the Jua-nita Jua-nita Sunday school Sunday. A short time ago Ellis Olsen was kicked by a horse which proved to be quite serious. He is under the doctor's care at present. ALTONAil The Altonah farm bureau held their fortnightly meeting Thursday evening. The leading sp3a"ke."3 of the evening were Mr. Peterson of Salt Lake who gave a very iiueresl-talk iiueresl-talk on the work the rarai bureaus were doing to better the conditions of the farmers. Mr. Leo Young of Roosevelt also spoke of the good work that was being done. A program pro-gram and dance finished the evenings even-ings entertainment. The cattlemen of Altonah will be busy Monday and Tuesday gathering cattle for the market. Mr. TJellon of Roosevelt is the buyer.
