Show FRIDAY, MAY 28, 1954 TIIE MURRAY EAGLE PAGE 4 IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF v THE TinRD JUDICIAL DISTRICT IN AND FOR THE COUNTY OF SALT LAKE, STATE OF UTAH Legal Notices Sec. Lucille Kiley, By Lottie Sams Dial AM PROBATE GUARDIANSHIP NOTICES Phone AM 31 COMMUNITY HALL PLANS ' Sam Hoffman and Alvin Smith met with the Kearns Town Council Tuesday night and discussed the Kearns recreational program with the members. Mr. Hoffman stated that the Community Hall would be turned over to the council, completed with new windows, gas furnace and electrical installation, at no cost to the council for the improvements, on a lease basis of $1 per year. His only stipulation was that the council keep the hall in good repair, that it be used for the benefit of all residents of Kearns, and that it was to be handled only by such a body as the council, elected by the people of Kearns, rather than any specific civic organization. . PARK AND PLAYGROUND The park and playground area was discussed. Residents will be contacted in the next few weeks for support of the recreational program in Kearns and for their ideas on this subject. With the large number of children in Kearns the need is acute, and the opportunity is ideal for some organization to sponsor such a program. Local organizations later may be asked to donate time and possibly help furnish some equipment so Kearns boys and girls will have a wholesome, educational program of recreation, especially during the summer months. . LIONS CLUB INSTALLS The Kearns Lions club installed new officers Wednesday at a dinner meeting at Vernal's Cafe. Members' wives were invited and an excellent program was enjoyed.
