Show FAIRVIEW. I Leroy Rigby is a Salt Lake City visitor this week. Mrs. Chas. Peacock spent the past week visiting at Salt Lake City. Orin Barker spent the week at Salt Lake. Bert Tucker came home last week on account of illness of his son, Byron. Ephraim Jensen, the eleven year old son of Mr. Jensen of the county infirmiry, was thrown from a horse on Sunday March 21. As he fell from the horse he struck his head upon the horses shoes, or the horse kicked him and two very bad gashes were made. He was taken to Salt Lake City by his father and Dr. Rigby the next morning where he underwent under-went an operation. He is reported to be in a very serious condition. The funeral of Harmo-n Fowels was held at his home on Saturday. The ward choir furnished appropriate appropri-ate miitsie and CL P. Olsen. Bums Cox and Bishop Hansen were the speakers. speak-ers. All spoke well of the boy's life. He was a boy scout and forty-eight boy scouts marched behind the casket. cas-ket. Many beautiful flowers were given and the funeral was well attended. at-tended. Those who came from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Comlin of Salt Lake City, Mr., and Mrs. Land-son Land-son Stewart of Magna, Mr. and Mrs. Merril Fowels of Clear Creek and Miss Leda Fowels of Salt Lake. He leaves his father and mother, Mr. and Mr.s Charles Fowels, six sisters and three brothers and many friends and relatives to mourn , his loss. Word was received in Fairview March 21 of the 'death of Odetta Miner, oldest daughter of Ernest L. Miner, at Hawaii. She. died of Pneumonia following influenza. This is very sad as it is only three months since the death of her mother who left a family of nine children. The family have been on a mission for nine years. The body will be shipped to Fairview for burial. Funeral services for- Miss Odetta Miner were held at Honolulu March 24th. The body will be shipped to Fairview for burial. Funeral services will be held at Fairview on Monday, April 5th. at 12 o, clock in the L. D. S. chapel. Charles K. Hansen is reported to be very ill at his home this week. The literary club met at the home of Miss Elsie Sorensen March 24th. An easter. program was given. Refreshments Re-freshments were served to twelve ladles. The club will give a dancing danc-ing party" to the public at the pavilion Friday evening, March 26th. Two patrols of Boy Scouts and the Behive girls gave a party Wednesday evening at the Gymnasium. Dancing, Danc-ing, games and refreshments were the features of the evening. |
