Cullis Our beloved wife, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away Friday morning, Dec. 26, 2003, at her home in Manti, Utah. She was 74. Mom had endured and put up a courageous tight with cancer that she was diagnosed with over a MANTI-- - Dorothy E. Hansen E. MT. PLEASANT-Dorot- hy Hansen (Gerthy Elnora Monroe Rostron Hansen) 89, died Dec. 27, 2003. She was born Sept. 28, 1914, in Hiawatha, Utah, to Janies Roy-de- n and Martha Emma Loretta JefTs Monroe. Dorothy married David D. Rostron Oct. 31, 1934, in Nephi, Utah, and later divorced. She married Waldo E. Hansen in 1945. He died in February 1952. we In St. Mark 12:43-4read, "And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them. Verily 1 say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living." Had our dear mother, mother--in-lagrandmother, and sister been born at an earlier time, these verses could well have been written for her. She lived her whole life sharing all that she had with her family, friends and acquaintances, often overlooking her own needs and desires and always giving back much more than she ever received. She had such a unique ability to put herself in someone elses situation that the words "empathy, and understanding" sensitivity could have been coined to describe her loving and giving nature. She spent many years raising her children as a single mother and worked very hard to accomplish this enormous feat. She worked for some time as a domestic worker, then a number of years on the North Sanpete School Lunch Program, and lastly she worked for 23 years at the Moroni Turkey Processing Plant. Dorothy spent many, many hours during her lifetime with her crochet hook in hand creating lovely afghans, doilies, baby dress- Bob Hope and Marilyn Maxwell sang "Silver Bells" in the 1951 movie "The Lemon Drop Kid." In "Its a Dorothy Hansen es and even stuffed toys, most of which she gave to her family members, friends or to someone who had shown her a kindness. Dorothy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, and the memory of her sweet spirit will linger in our hearts forever. She is survived by children, Jack (Thea) Hansen, Salt Lake City, UT; Toy Hansen, Salt Lake City, UT; Erlene (Al) Johnson, Bluffdale, UT; Scott (Joyce) Hansen, Bountiful, UT; Roy "Tut" (Verene) Rostron, Spring City, UT; Gail (Joe) Trlica, Fort ColDeanna lins, CO; daughter-in-laRostron, Mt. Pleasant, UT; brothers, Don (Dorothy) Black, Kearns, UT; Ray (Janet) Black, Duchesne, UT; 23 grandchildren; 48 greatgrandchildren; seven Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband; children, Delno J. Rostron; Bonnie Isaacson; siblings, Roy Monroe; Eva Jackson; and Ann Coates. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 31, at the Mt. Pleasant Fifth LDS Ward. Interment was in the Mt. She loved her husband and boys and was always pushing us to do our best and if we ever thought we couldnt, shed push harder until we did. Wonderful is Stewart visited on Christmas Eve by an angel. Life, SALT LAKE CIT- Y- Estella Lavern Christensen Cullis was born Nov. 21, 1918 to Thomas Martin and Estella S. Bennett Christensen in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. She passed away Dec. 23, 2003, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Estella married James Cullis Jr. Sept. 11, 1941. FAIRVIEW-- Vernie Tracy Bronson, 42, died Dec. 25, 2003, in Salt Lake at the University of Utah Medical Center. He was born May 4, 1961, in Green River, Utah, to Marvin Dwayne Bray and Gene Bronson. He married Charlyn Hawley June 7, 1980, in Sandy, Utah. Vern was a general contractor and enjoyed working outside framing houses. He loved the outdoors and couldnt wait to go elk hunting every year.
