Howard was bom Dec. 19, 1912, in Mapleton. He graduated from Springville High School. For several years he worked construction and on April 24, 1945, he went to work for the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad. He retired July , 1975 after 30 years of service. He was an active member in the LDS Church where he held many positions including president of the Young Men in the Mutual organization, Financial Clerk and LDS Temple work- He was also active in the Mapleton Lions Club for many years, where be served as president. He loved his family, hunting, fishing and all outdoor activities. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rae Cazier Larsen on May 5, 1976; brother Clyde W. Larsen; sisters: Leah Larsen, Helen Klotz, June Burchard and Verlaine Tanner and parents: Wilford and Margaret Clyde Larsen. Howard is survived by LaRae his daughters: (Harold) Hopla, Vernal, UT and Gaye (Tom) Christensen, Fairview; five grandchildren, Linda (John) Gardiner, Michael (Dm) Hopla, Shari Lynn Hopla, all of Vernal; Tren (Pamela) Giles, Sandy, UT; Tangie (Gary) Schatz, Palmdale, CA; and 10 The family expresses special appreciation to all the staff of IHC, especially Helen Parry, and Johnson Bonnie Donna Miner. Anderson CA PASADENA, Funeral services were held Friday, April 16, in San Marino, CA for Don Howard Anderson, who died on April 11, 1999, in Arcadia, CA. He was bom in Mt. Pleasant on May 15, 1919, to Ila Larsen and Andrew William Anderson, in the home that is now the "Larsen House", which was built by his grandparents. Bishop and Mrs. James Larsen. He attended Hamilton School and North Sanpete High School, where his father was a teacher for many years. He attended BYU for two years, and then USC in Los Angeles, where he graduated and received his degree as a dentist. He married Emma Louise West in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and served in the army as a dentist during World War II. He was stationed many years. Don was always very in active LDS the Church. He especially loved his calling as a Scoutmaster. He always loved to come back to Mt. Pleasant, to stay at his grandparents home, and to go over to the old homestead near Scofield, where he spent much time herding sheep as a young teenager. He is survived by his wife, Louise, three sons and three daughters, and He 22 grandchildten. also leaves one sistei.
