Show r November 29, 1995 - The Pyramid - Page Three Samantha Pelter, Prescott Hope to exchange vows AMIP OREM-- - Suzanne Pelter, of Redondo Beach, CA, announces the marriage of her daughter, Samantha Pelter, to Prescott Hope, son of David and Virjean Hope, Spring City, at 12 p.m., Dec. 2, 1995, at the Chillon Reception Center, 710 East Center Street, Spanish Fork. A reception will follow the ceremony. The bride graduated from North Torrance High School in Torrance, CA. She is employed as a manager at the Soup Garden Restaurant in Orem. The bridegroom graduated from North Sanpete High School and is employed at the Brick Oven Restaurant as a manager. Grandparents of the bride are Valerie Thome and Carolyn Pelter, both Redondo Beach, CA. Grandparents of the bridegroom are Jean Sessions, Spring City, and the late Virgil Sessions; and die late Rudolph and Vilate Hope. The couple will make their home in Orem. Storyteller featured at Pinata Festival EPHRAI- Leticia Pizzino, professional will storyteller, launch activities at the Pinata Festival at 3 p.m., Friday, Dec. 1, at the Ephraim Canciones y Cuentos, is a lively, insightful program of songs and stories from Hispanic folk traditions that will give the audience an appreciation for the Hispanic language and culture. Arial, Public Information Specialist for the Bureau of Land Management Arizona Strip, is the featured speaker at the Snow College convocation on Thursday, Nov. 30, at 12:30 p.m. in the Crane Theatre. Arial will present an overview of the Arizona Strip and discuss some of the environmental issues surrounding it. A former resident of Richfield, Arial now lives in St. George. She has long been concerned with the desert environment of southern Utah. She represents the Bureau of Land Management in the ecologically delicate northern tier of Arizona, between the Grand Canyon and the Utah border. This Arizona Strip, as it is called, is under increasing pressure for development of highways and water resources to accommodate a growing population. The convocation is free and open to the public.
