Show K WEEK'S J Mrs. A. D. Sutton went to Provo this wjek to visit with her relatives and friends. Mrs. Dr. Stocks went to Bountiful Monday to spend a fortnight visiting visit-ing with her mother and also friends Mrs. Seymour Dorius of Salt Lake City is visiting at the home of her father, Mr. P. M. McArthur this week. Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Poulson returned from St. Anthony, Idaho last week and expect to make their home in Mount Pleasant now indefinitely. indefi-nitely. Miss Ila Larsen returned from Chicago last Sunday where she has spent the past month visiting her sister, Mrs. Robinson. She reports a very pleasant trip while in the east. One of the interesting developments develop-ments of the Knmmpr at. thp Stnfp University is the withdrawal of professors pro-fessors to enter outside business, ranging as widely as mining, farming, farm-ing, and newspaper work. Louis Peterson left Monday for Sandy where he has been employed to teach in the higher branches of learning in the Jordan High School. Mr. Peterson has qualified himself thoroughly for the work while attending at-tending the State University. Word came from Washington, D. C. that Mr. L. E. McArthur formerly former-ly of this city who has been employed employ-ed by the Inter-state Commerce Commission Com-mission received a promotion to a better position on the first of the month. Leonard Jeffs, eight-year-old son of Eph Jeffs, fell from a load of hay last Monday while he was loading and sustained a broken leg. Dr. Stocks was called and the limb wes soon set. ihe iracture was just above the knee. Dr. J. C. Stocks and Dr. E. G. Mills were very fortunate in their fishing adventures of last week over at Huntington and Gooseberry. Dr. and Mrs. Harold Robinson returned re-turned from Chicago last Sunday. They have been absent for two years during which time Mr. Kobinson has been studying medicine at the Rush Medical College of Chicago. He graduated from the institution v,ith high honors receiving the degree of M. D. Dr. Robinson will visit here with Mrs. Robinson's parents, Bishop and Mrs. James Larsen for a short time. |
