Show ' New Home for Mountain t States Telephone Co. i i I During the past two weeks the telephone company has had a force of eight men here in the city busily j engaged in moving the local ex- change station from the old bank j building on the corner of State and ; Main to its new building on the second sec-ond floor of the Aldrich Bros, building build-ing between the Drug Store and the North Sanpete Bank, j Mr. B. F. Lovell, district mana-, mana-, ger of the company has been trying : to bring about the change for several sever-al months, but was unable to accomplish accom-plish his desire on account of trie consolidation of the Bell Telephone Co., and the Colorado Telephone Co., which took place in the month of September. Rent has been paid for the building for ten r.:onths in order ord-er to hold the lease. The new office is equipped with a . new Exchange Board throughout and has double capacity with 160 drops. There are now 150 numbers connected connect-ed up and there are 50 remaining which are not taken. The offic3 is furnished with new furniture, etc., and is modem throughout, making it most convenient and serviceable to the people. All the business houses on Main ; have been rewired, changing the j wires from the frort and bringing j them in at the rear. |
