The lucky man who won the heart of Sanpete County's Centennial Queen is Rawlin V. Jacobsen of Fountain Foun-tain Green. Popular Sanpete Couples Married In February "nderson - Jacobsen Mr. and Mrs. Grant Anderson of Wales announce the marriag-of marriag-of their daughter Miss Gwen ; May Anderson to Raw lin V. Jacobsen, Ja-cobsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. j Virgil P. Jacobsen of Fountain Green. The double-ring ceremony was performed by candlelight at the bride's home by Bishop Lloyd Price January 9. The bride was lovely in a gow-i of heavy brocaded satin with a peplum that fell into a six foot train. Her fingertip veil fell from a tiara of orange blossoms. The brides bouquet was pink rose buds with white satin streamers sprinkled with sweet peas. Her attendants were in paste! pink and green gowns. Mrs. Perry Blackham. sister of the groom was matron of honor. Miss Donna King, aunt of the bride was maid of honor. Miss Betli Dimick and Miss Mary Louise Peterson were bridesmaids. Perry Elackham was best man. Mrs. Grant Anderson, mother of the bride wore a pastel rose gown of street length while Mrs Virgil P. Jacobsen, mother of the groom, wore a street length gown of beige. Both were gardenia gar-denia and rosebud corsages. A buffet supper was served tr thirty-five guests afier which numerous friends and relatives of the couple were entertained at a reception in the beautiful new Wales Ward L. D. S. chapel and recreation hall. The groom was a former stu-dent stu-dent of the U. S. A. C. Serving as bridesmaids were, Mrs. Glenna Stevenson, Mrs. Darlyn Cook, and Mrs. Vandora Housekeeper of Salt Lake, sister of the groom. The attendants wore pastel dresses and corsages of gardenias garden-ias and rosebuds. The bride was attractive in a white taffeta wedding gown embroidered with seed pearls around the sweetheart neck and fashioned with a full train. Her fingertip veil was caught at each side of the head with delicate orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of red roses. Helping to serve were the misses Marlene Morley, LuDean Anderson, Beverly Blackham, Joyce Christensen. Barbara Peterson, Pe-terson, Mary Ellen Nelson, Yvonne Draper and Geniel Bailey, Bai-ley, sister of the bride. Paul Bailey, brother of the bride, was best man. Clifford Blackham was Master of Ceremonies at the reception and dance which took place at the Old Bungalow following the ceremony. After a short honeymoon the couple will make their home in Salt Lake where Mr. Shepherd j will v.oik for .Standard Oil compa ny. |
