Show Alfred Johnson Dies at Ft. Green Funeral services for Alfred Johnson John-son Sr. were held Saturday September Sep-tember 13th at 2 p. m. in the Fountain Foun-tain Green ward chapel. Songful Song-ful mshed by the choir were "Sometime "Some-time We'll Understand," "Hope Be-ond." Be-ond." and "Eternity." The opening open-ing prayer was offered by K P Jensen and the closing prayer b H. P. Olson. The speakers were J- C. Jensen, J. F. Robertson and President James L. Neilson. Mr. Johnson was born at Stnm-nared. Stnm-nared. Norra Halland, Sweden on December 17, 1857. When a young man he went to Denmark where he joined t.hP t. D. S. Church, while there, at one time, being cast into prison for preaching the gospel. He came to Utah in 1883. In August 1885 he married Marie J. Peterson. The L. D. S. Church called him cn a mission to Sweden in Janu-jary Janu-jary 1m2 from which he returned ri July 1904. His wife died December 17, 1929. Surviving are the following children: chil-dren: Christian Johnson, 785 Emcr-tn Emcr-tn Avenue, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Hansen. Allnd Johnson. Jr., August Aug-ust Johnson and E. J. Johnson, all of Fountain Green. There are also sixteen grand-bikh-m and three great grandchildren grandchil-dren surviving him. The body was prepared for burial bur-ial by the Hansen Mortuary Company Com-pany of Mt. Pleasant. |
