Show DAIRYMAN, HIT BY AUTO, DIES AT EPHRAIM EPH-RAIM Victim Succumbs Almost Immediately After Accident Ole M. Olsen, 65, prominent Ephraim dairyman, was killed when struck by an automobile at Main and Center streets in Ephraim Eph-raim Friday at 8:30 p. m. The machine was reported to have been driven by Devaun Zu-felt Zu-felt of Sigurd, but was owned by Allen Jones of Salt Lake, who was an occupant. Mr. Olsen died almost immedK ately after being struck, victim of a double fracture of the skull, it was reported by Dr. A. J. Ander- rushed the injured man to his home. Investigators said Mr. Olsen was walking eastward across the street when struck. The southbound south-bound automobile, it was reported, ran over a curb and came to a stop after pushing over an evergreen ever-green tree on the Ephraim L. D. S. tabernacle grounds. The driver said he was going 30 miles an hour. Sheriff Ed. J. Peterson took the occupants of the automobile to Manti for questioning. . Mr. Olsen was born here August Aug-ust 15, 1866. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Matilda Beal Olsen; a son, Arden Olsen, Berkeley, California; sister, Miss Minerva Olsen, of Ephraim; two grandchildren! grandchil-dren! I |
