Show RECALLS CELEBRATED TRIAL. Man Who Spends Two Years in Death. Cell Dies in Hospital. New York. Roland B. Molineaux, 54, defendant in the celebrated Kate-Adams Kate-Adams murder case, died of paralysis in the Kings county state hospital. Molineaux was charged with the murder of Mrs. Adams, who died of mercury poisoning December 18, 1S9S. She drank the drug from a bromo seltzer selt-zer bottle which, it was alleged, Molineaux Moli-neaux had meant for Harry Cornish,, a fellow member of the Knickerbocker-Athletic Knickerbocker-Athletic club. The trial was most sen sational and Molineaux was convicted of murder in the first degree. He spent two years in the death bouse at Sing Sing before a new trial was granted-Molineaux granted-Molineaux was then acquitted. j |
