Show UTAH TROOP TRAIN WRECKED Three Utahns Meet Death While on Their Way East. Salida, Coio Three soldiers were sent to their death and fifteen were injured, two seriously, when the second sec-ond section of a troop train, speeding eastward from Fort Douglas, Utah, tore its way into the rear end of the first section, three-quarters of a mile west of Cotopaxi, Colo., on the Denver & Rio Grande railroad early Monday morning, a missing flagman being blamed for the accident. The three men killed were Guy B. Alexander, Clayton Preston and Fred T. White-house, White-house, all residents of Salt Lake City. |
