Dr. Bode, who is director of the Royal museums, is recognized rec-ognized as the best living authority on the old masters. His books and catalogues are of the highest value in the art world," and he is frequently consulted by such collectors as J. Pierpont Morgan, but this is the first time Dr. Bode has had a society leader lead-er for a pupil. He Is loud in hi3 praises of the artistic aptness and intelligence shown by his Chicago disciple. Dr. Bode followed the peripatetic system that is, he took his pupil around to the galleries and museums and In them gave object lessons on the theory of art which he 'is expounding.
