Show Peter C. Miller Will Observe 86th Birthday The eighty-sixth birthday anniversary an-niversary of Peter C. Miller, pioneer pio-neer settler of central Utah, will be celebrated with a family dinner din-ner Sunday at the home of n;s daughter, Mrs. H. O. Johansen, at 439 South Second West street. Mr. Miller was born May 17. 1855, on the island of Bornhoim, Denmark, a son of Peter P. and Petrea Reabo Miller. The fami'.v en braced the L. D. S. faith -md emigrated to America in 1872. Mr. Miller lived in Richfield until un-til 1875, when he came to Mount Pleasant to make his home. He was married to Mary Fredrickson of Mt. Pleasant April 7, 1879, in the Endowment house in Salt Lake City. They moved ;o Castie Dale in 1897. Upon the death of his wife in November, 1927, Mr. Miller returned re-turned to Mt. Pleasant and has made his home here since with his daughter, Mrs. Andrew Johansen. Jo-hansen. He has been a successful farmer farm-er and stockgrower. During his residence in Castle Dale he was a member of the city council and served several years , as president of the Mammoth Canal and Reservoir Res-ervoir company. He has been an active worker in the L. D. S. church. He has three daughters, Mrs. Marvin L. Jor.es of Castle Dale, Mrs. Andrew Johansen and Mrs. H. O. Johansen of Mt. Pleasant, and two sons, Roy Miller of La-tuda La-tuda and Earl Miller of Salt Lake City; eighteen grandchildren grandchil-dren and nine great-grandahil-dren. |
