This reduction is made because the toll rates charged by the former Rocky Mountain Ijell Telephone Company were higher than those in other parts of The Mountain States Telephone Tele-phone and Telegraph Company's territory. For instance, it formerly cost $1.00 to talk 100 miles in Utah; while in Colorado it cost $0.80. Under the new tariff schedule the rates will be the same for like distance throughout our system. A few examples are given below: ' From Mount Pleasant, Utah, i To ; Old Rate New Rate Evanston $1.25 $1.00 Nephi .25 .20 Ogden 1.20 1.00 Pocatello 2.35 1.00 Provo .50 .40 Salt Lake .85 . .70 For reductions to hundreds of other points in these states, inquire of the "Long Distance" operator. , ; i ' , The Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph Company. : We have 75,000 miles of copper wire connecting 200,000 subscribers, reaching practically every city, town, village and hamlet in the mountain States, from Canada to Mexico.
