Local FFA officers attending and participating in a special presentation and other activites during the Kurtis were conference Todd Robins, President; Quarnberg, Vice President; Harold Robison, Treasurer; and Sam Probert, Sentinel. They were accompanied and assisted by chapter advisor Robert A. Neilson. The purpose of the conference is to give chapter officers specialized instructions in various areas of chapter activity. Four special presentations were given which included a presentation "Conducting a Parent and Member Banquet by the MiDard Eagle Chapter; the Community "Letting Know by the Panguitch Chapter; Chapter Records by the Richfield Chapter; and a successful "Promoting Occupational Supervised Experience Program by the In Gunnison Chapter. One hundred eighty nine members were present. Special guests were Newel Warner, brother to the late Frank Warner, and his daughter, Margene Pease, formally of Fillmore. The days festivities started at noon, each family bringing their own lunch. After lunch a program was enjoyed by all. Door prizes were drawn from different age groups and were donated by the children of Art and Bertha Katherine and Hoggan, from Wayne Purrington Pocatello, Idaho and Ed and Ruth Hoggan from Clearfield, Utah. A lovely quilt is donated each year by a family member, to be presented to the from the couple lucky Married Young group. This year the quilt was donated by Ward and Fern Dorrity from Cedar City, Utah. Mrs. Roland Utley from Fruit Heights, Utah donated a baby quilt to the lucky winner in the "Expectant or Very Young Parents group. family IT JT Elder Joseph Crapo Called on mission Joseph Crapo, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cleed Crapo of Kearns, Ut., has been called to serve a mission in North Carolina for the LDS Church. His farewell will be Sunday Aug. 22, at teh 18th Ward in Kearns. He will enter the MTC in Provo on Sept. 5, 1982. Joe is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Crapo of Fillmore, Utah. Each family prepares a game for all to enjoy, such as races, dart games, fish pond such a variety of games. The rest of the time is spent just visiting and renewing acquaintances. - Most Americans eat three to 10 times more salt than they need.
