Morrison She married Alan Scott Nielson June 21 1958 in Delta Utah The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple Carol Ann was a member of the LDS Church serving as Relief Society President Ward Chorister Organist Sunday School Teacher and choir member She was a board member of the West Millard Recreation District a teacher in the Delta Middle School and a delegate to two state political conventions Mrs Nielson is survived by husband Mrs sons and daughters Lynndyl Manuel (Deborah) Perez Houston TX Mrs John (Vicki) Tensmeyer Richard Nielson OH Cincinnati NV Scott Nielson Jane because she had Alzheimers disease Geniel was born Aug 22 1905 to Roy and Mary A Dame in Fillmore Utah She was an active member of the LDS Church there and one of the towns most talented beautiful important girls graduated from high school in 1924 and in 1925 attended the LDS Business College in Salt Lake After getting her degree she came back to Fillmore and worked as book keeper for De La Mission garage in their office then for a while she worked for the Maytag Washing Machine Co She next went to Salt Lake and continued to work as book keeper for the Maytag when they there until 1931 Co her to their office in transferred Portland Ore where she worked for was When she sometime through with Maytag instead of coming home a friend got her a job in Seattle where she after a while met Robert C Norrie (Bob) They were married June 1940 in the LDS Church there had two both children Robert and Christine born in Seattle where the Norries made their home and where Bob held an ecutive position in the Kenworth Motor Truck Corporation Prior to her marriage Geniel would get homesick and come home on her Then after marriage the vacations Norrie family visited Utah often Geniel was a smart capable person and successful in all she did was loved and respected by all who knew her as her life was one of service to others She is survived by husband Bob of Seattle son Robert and two childen of WA daughter Island Bainbridge Christine Philbrick and two children of CA sisters and Pacific Palisades Salt brothers Della Dame Edmunds Bonnie Dame Nelson Lake City Sonoma CA John L Dame Sr eat and visit with us My darling granddaughter was a special addition Kay Bassett and nephew Mark Bassett from BYU spent Saturday afternoon with his mother at the Sands They had attended the funeral of Carol Ann Nielson Christensen Barbara Spendlove spent three days visiting with Vivian Holman Barbara is doing very well after her shoulder injury due to a fall Barbara’s home is in Tooele Her husband Ivo Christensen passed away about two months ago following a massive stroke Betty Johnson spent some time visiting her family up north While up there she visited with her grandson Richard Johnson who was involved in a 44 car pile up between Springviile and Provo He was cut up and it took over 100 stitches to close the injury She was happy to find him doing well and will have a full recovery Visitors with Golda Christensen were her daughter Celia and Don Graham of Sandy and Jim Talbot her son from Meadow Well what do you know Charlie Thomas a dear resident of Sands Apts was our only guest having a birthday in January He was 92 years old A very special dinner party was arranged to help him celebrate Anyone who knows this dear gentleman knows that he is one to enjoy in the moments you spend with him He says life has been so good to him I just think that he and family have been very good to their friends Lillian Taylor read the greetings from his California children who
