Show Page 10 - Millard County USPS Utah Foundation report of teacher salaries freeze flour in double 1988 Dathel Whitaker Ph 'Elder Billy Olsen son of Barbara Anderson of Kanosh reported his mission to the Iowa Des Moines Mission at Sacrament Meeting on Sunday Jan 24 1988 Elder Olsen was happy to see a large congregation in attendance especially to have two sister missionaries and three elder missionaries who served in the same mission with him come down from the “Y” to hear his report He was also pleased to have family members uncles aunts and cousins in attendance With Counselor Stan Koyle conducting the Invocation was given by Elder Olsen’s sister Catherine Olsen After the Sacrament service the remainder of the meeting proceeded as follows: A talk was given by Elder Kenneth Higgins grandson of Mr and Mrs Harold Higgins former Kanosh residents Elder Olsen and Elder Higgins received their mission calls at the same time were in the MTC together were sent out and came back together so they became very close friends Mother Barbara Anderson was the next speaker followed by a congregational hymn: “Behold! A Royal Army” Elder Olsen was the concluding speaker Benediction: Elder Shawn Lance Barbara and Rubin hosted a HOLDEN Cherryl Wood Ph The whole community was shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of JoAnn Condie w ife of Stake President John R Condie on Wed Jan 27 in Funeral services the LDS Hospital were held in the Holden Ward on Monday at 11 am President Thomas S Monsen first cousin to President Condie was a speaker at the funeral services We will all miss this lovely lady who has lived in McCornick the past 17 years We extend our deepest sympathy to President Condie and all of his children Denise Tuttle Tamara Beckstrand Steve Condie Carlene and David Beth Crosland has been a patient in the Fillmore Hospital this past week We hope she can come home soon Ima Gates and Grant Stevens have also been patients at the hospital recently We are glad they are both home now and doing better Our sympathy to Lisa (Johnson) Spencer and her husband Kirt on the sudden passing of their 26 1988 Even though Nora’s left arm was bound having suffered i cracked wrist she was a super hostess to the ten daughters who were present Those enjoying the meeting together besides the hostess and Robert from the Utah State University Congratulations to all of them Max and Laurel Johnson just returned home after a month stay in Calif with family Gloria Horn and family made a trip to Provo on Saturday returning the same day Launa Evans had to walk a mile to get to her work She had to walk in the road and dodge the oncoming cars The reason for her road walking?
