Show Entries now being accepted for 1987 Utah beef RICHARD 3 one of JACOBSON SON OF tables refinished Stewart and Marge Jacobson with Eagle Scout Project lie new President Millard illmoie ibiaiv is the reeepient ol an outstanding Lagle Seoul Projeet Mr Riehaid Jaeobsen selected a project which is appreciated by all The library formerly had only one study table in the upstairs and two in the basement leading loom in the old facility Riehaid took on the job of refinishing all tin ee of these tables Richard was assisted by: Pieston Shawn Kelly Day Kent Sanderson Ciaig Kindled John intburg Stewaid and Marge Jacobsen (his parents) The tables were removed from the libiaty to the BL M Shop where theie was mote room to wotk They were snipped of the old varnish sanded stained and revatnished The finish is veil well done This pait of the ptoI jeet took 29 man hours of good solid hatd wotk The other part of the projeet was earning the money for the stain and varnish which Richard did by helping with the poles and chains of the protecting guaids for the DUP Monument movThe new ing on Sears Corner adewalks and curbs on the corner of Main and Center necessitated the moving of the monument twenty feet to the south of the former location Richard did the planning and the supervising of the projeet and put in a lot of hatd work He and his group are to be congratulated on this unselfish public sei ice Millard High School and Middle School students use these tables daily after school and many adults use them eailv in the afternoon Facts about sobering up Now that you have all sobered up after New Year’s Eve let’s discuss some sobering facts about sobering up Once a person stops drinking alcohol's effects wear off at a fairly constant but 015 percent blood slow alcohol content per hour If a pet son weighing 160 pounds has 4 beers it 2 hours for hisher blood would take alcohol content to be reduced to 05 pet cent However at 05 percent you still have double the risk of being in an automobile accident than does a person who is completely sober About 50 percent of all drivers killed in ear accidents have blood alcohol contents of over 10 pet cent In Utah you are legally diunk if your blood alcohol content is over 08 percent-don’t drink and drive!
