graduation from Hinckley High School She had written for local and state newspapers for 53 years She was and compiler of “Milestones of Millard” centennial history of the county published by the Daughter of Utah Pioneers She was the First woman to serve on the Hinckley Town Board and chairman for 5 years of the Millard County Fair She headed the beautification campaign that won Hinckley the state’s “cleanest city” award in Utah’s centennial year and received a medal from former Gov Calvin L Rampton as the Senior Citizen in the “Outstanding State” She was coordinator for the Millard County Council of Aging for 15 years and director of adult education for the Millard School District for 10 years She had been PTA president of and vice president of the county PtA organization Her many awards include the Hinckley High - Millard Academy Service award and Distinguished recognition for her oil painting both local and statewide Her church leadership positions included: stake YWMIA president and counselor and ward YWMIA president Relief Society president young married leader and Sunday School teacher She was a member of the West Millard Hospital board and served on the committee
