TO THE teb effects of the rich food but not enough So am now doing what vowed would never do sort of dieting The ladies weight lifting class does make improvements if one works at it but as don't like really physical things like aerobics swimming jogging or am not taking off the bicycle riding nice layer put on for the long winter And think at this point dieting is where am at I’m not leaping in however I’m just taking it slow a little less bread a tle less sugar but tell me does one ever think diet drinks taste good? How many of those nasty beverages does one have to di ink before the taster adapts? After every swallow feel like there is some strange film between my tongue and the roof of my mouth And with will be asked to doubt my attitude do any TV commercials about how delicious sugarfree drinks are would hate lor the dieting which is so distasteful to me to fail because then would have to resent to Rita's and that would really be a desperate mcasute ” EDITOR Jennie and the Painted Plank “give up" There was once a fuel company here our little town with a special caring for their customers For some years new the quality of the service has changed along with the myriad & rules regulations of the new owners Being loyal customers we’ve taken a lot while the period of adjustment was going on But even loyalty can be taken so far! Recently an incident that to our family has precipitated this letter to your newspaper When the rules changed for paying bills last fall we were telephoned and had letters sent to us in plenty of time before winter’s first free7e This was to make sure we understood that no money meant no fuel! Okay we could live with that Yet no one bothered to tell us that they new had set routes for the vast areas of our valley Okay we could live with that too had we been in This past week had the opportunity to attend the high school Region SoloEnsemble competition in Cedar City and was very impressed with the talent saw displayed by our DHS students want to compliment them for the work they have done to prepare their numbers and perform them as they did Mr Wankier and Mr Larson also and deserve a lot of commendation praise for the countless hours and ex circumstances Jennie’s children grew up singing together Their mother’s music an fluence for good in their lives She was an example to all from those early years when her mother and father brothers and sisters stood around the table while Jennie played the plank and they all sang “Love at Home” of New session told! Upon getting low on fuel we were told when we called that they had area already been to our designated And they would not be back again for another week or so! It didn't seem to matter to them that we had a house full of small children! It didn't seem to matter to them that we’d been good customers for over 4 years And it didn’t seetn to matter that we had never been told of the new set routes for the valley They told us that rules are rules! Could it be that since a faceless person from somewhere else signs their paychecks each week is that where their loyalty is? Why should the customers here be treated unfairly because of it? Rules are made to be broken and if they want to keep their business here how about a gentle hint the customer is always right! Name withheld by request DHS singers great! under discouraging tra efforts they put in working with these students They are excellent teachers and we are fortunate to have them in our district These students with their outstanbring back a lot of ding performance recognition to our school as do the wrestlers and other winning teams the music congratulate Again department for a very fine showing! Afton R Dutson Thank you Max Martin aqua aerobics would like to give a special thanks to Max Martin for the great job he has done in the past 15 years I Park Managerl as Statehouse would also like to congratulate Andy de Haan who has taken his place It is interesting to note that the Statehouse Park has just celebrated its 54th birthday that the park was the first State Park of Utah and that the Statehouse was Utah’s first State to begin On Monday March Sandy Oswald will be starting another six week session of Aqua Aerobics (exerin the water) cising to music Eighteen exercise classes will be held over the six week period and the cost for this invigorating physical fitness class will be only $2200 The Aqua Aerobic classes will be held at 10:00 am Monday Wednesday and Friday but the first week the class will be held at 11:00 am Water exercising is an excellent way to get into shape You get more benefit exercising in the water because of the resistance the water gives but yet less trauma is given to the body because of the support of the water Registrations for this refreshing and stimulating exercise class are now ing taken at the West Millard Community Swimming Pool I as a former resident of Fillmore feel very proud that this precious surrounded historic old Statehouse by a park of beauty is still standing filled with relics of the past What an outstanding attraction for the town which had the honor of after named the US being President Millard Fillmore! She spent a life of joyment of great music of service for family as an accompanist playing the hymns in her church for many years teaching uncounted young people to love music and play the piano and not MESSAGE 864-387- Special Weekend In Ely 0 'Are You a Member of the Right Church?’ nights for $45 plus tax Casino Coupon Discount Breakfast Fri thru Mon Double ex upant y 3 FREE RANCHER CAFE CHICKEN TO GO EVERY DAY Rustic Inn Aultman Ely 1555 (702) 2 pc 2 pc Let us help you understand the benefits of an IRA at Zions Bank Von get an extra margin of safety too Did you know that: because your IRA at Zions Rank ts insured to $100 (XX) by the lieral Deposit InsurYou can make IRA deposits until April 1985 to your 1984 IRA account You cannot make deposits lor 1984 beyond that date even if you get an extension for filing your 1984 income tax (as you could last year) $100 will open a IRA at Zions Bank The interest rate your IRA earns depends on the type of instrument you select Zions Bank has many attractive IRA plans that increase your earnings at an 15 impressive rate Extra Safety at Zions Bank When you open an Individual Retirement Account at Ztons Bank you can rest assured your money will be there when you need it We’re the bank w ith a record of safety' and service for over a century ance Corporation in addition to the $1(X)(XX) I DIC insurance on your other Zions Rank ci 'posits You can deposit up to $2000 tax deferred per year if you are a single wage earner ($2250 if you have a nonwage earner spouse) or up to $4000 if both husband and wife are wage earners Your future can be secure with an Individual Retirement Account at Zions Bank zions FIRST NATIONAL BANK Dark $199 $219 4 pc - Vi chicken $367 8 pc whole chicken - $734 12 pc - I Vi chickens - $1100 16 pc - 2 chickens $1450 20 pc - 2Vi chickens $1800 24 pc - 3 chickens - $2100 Dinner rolls Butter Jelly INCLUDED Light Iw'nn tl Publisher Susan Denmt Advertising Ashbrook am to 1 Sales Production Fillmore Jane (2 am on Design Manager Receivable legal Billing Circulation Ward Circulation Commercial am i Office Accounts Riley Wood 864-274- 5 Dutton Marge Barton Managing Editor Fillmore Mark Amott at Large Reporter Julie Open Editor - Editorial RANCHER CAFE Fri & Sat) Comp Printing Beckwith advance Subscriptions 00 months year 00 county for 00 out of county for year RANCHER DRIVE IN Pizza Every Day Noon to 10 pm (until midnitc FREE HOME - DELIVERY EVENINGS r ( xporfar Opf0VA USPS Evelyn Mallet Deb Greathouse l? tl Millard County Chronicle Progress The - 864-351- Fri & Sat) ($10 Min) Single Copy ceni POSTMAStER Send Address changes to O 249 Pella Utah 84624 3400 rum ))I4 PumisHiNo comiwsy I “T)l 4 I owned |
