Show Millard county chronicle Delta, Utah, Thurs.., Aug. 21, 1952 All (( lUM Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Curtis wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Carol, to Mr. De-laine H. Green, son of Mrs. Lester Green of Riverton. A November wedding is being planned. Mr. Green is now in the army and is stationed at Fort ORD, Cal. Miss Curtis was graduated from Delia high school last year, and has been employed in Tooele dur-ing the past year. i;v4 h;ni4' Vows In SL. Temple Miss Rebecca Moore, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Chandler, of Whittier, Cal. and Sam Judd, son of Mrs. Peter Groaning, of Delta, said wedding vows Monday in the Salt Lake LDS temple. They were accompanied by the bride's parents, and Mr. JucU's brother, Gerard F. Judd, and Miss Ella Mae Turley. . After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Judd left for the Yellowstone na-tional park for their honeymoon. They will return later to South Gate, Cal., where they will make their home. Claridge, of Delta, exchanged wed ding vows Saturday, August 23. The ceremony was performed at 2 p m. in St. Patrick's Church in Eureka. Following the ceremony a buf-fet luncheon was served at the bride's residence, until six o'clock. The young couple are now on a honeymoon trip to Yellowstone national park. Next main stop was at Lebanon where they visit-ed with Byron's two sisters and their husbands, Ada, and Onela. Two days was spent at the coast visiting with friends. While there they went deep sea Vishing and also crab hunting. At Yachets, they visited with Bud and Maxine. Next they went by way of Hood Canel to Pudget Sound to Port Townsend, where they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Grant Crane and daughter. They went across the sound to Widby, then drove on into Canada. On the way home they spent a day with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Manis, visited Bonneville dam. When they returned to Salt Lake they visited with Byron's brother and father. From there they went on Into Riverton where they spent a few hours with the Fred Aliens. Mrs. Ila Gable, Mrs. Effie Stap-le- Mr. and Mrs. Bob Slaughter, Mrs. Dee Slaughter and their granddaughter, Marge.ne, visited wtih Mr. and Mrs. Gib Carter last Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Garth Bishop were week-en- d visitors in Hinckley. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Spencer and family spent a couple of days in Ely, Nevada. They returned home late Monday night. Mr. and Mrs. Ren Taylor and Allen and Ilene spent Monday and Tuesday in Salt Lake. Mr. John Marlowe Nielson came to Hinckley Sunday to pick up his four children who have spent two weeks with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Theobald took their son, Merlin, to Salt Lake for a checkup concerning the bad blow on the head that Merlin re-ceived while working on the farms last week. Jim Morris, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Morris was home 'for a ten day leave from Sheppard AFB Texas. He is being sent to Illinois for further training. While here he spent two days in Salt Lake with his father. His brothers, Joe and Larry took him to Salt Lake Wed-nesday and he will go to Illinois from there. Mrs. Evelyn Morris reports that her husband is improving steadily. He is now able to take steps by himself and they expect to have him home before too long. Mr. and Mrs. Goldwynn Cluff, Jr. and family from Provo were visitors in Hinckley the 'first part of the week. Mr. and Mrs. Roe Buhanan and family recently went to Salt Lake on business. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bishop and family and Mrs. Don A. Bishop went up north over the week end. Pfc. Craig W. Tanner is home from Camp Cookej Calif., for a 15 day leave. He will return back to camp, when his leave is over. Craig has spent the last nine months in the army. Mr. Hyrum Tanner and son, Craig and grandchild, Dell Ray, went to Salt LakeTVIonday to take Dell Ray home. He has spent the summer in Hinckley. Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Allred went to Canada over the week end to take Mrs. Allred's folks home who have been visited here for the .past two weeks. Joyce Theobald has gone to Salt Lake where she plans to work for the winter. Mrs. Arvilla Swensen, Lewis and Anna Lee went to Provo with Mrs. Lyzette Erickson shopping last week. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Love an-nounce the birth of their grandson, Robert Charles Love, (Bobby) son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Love of Tus-ti- Calif. The baby was born Aug. 12 on Mrs. Vernon Love's birthday. Both baby and mother are repor-ted doing fine. Mrs. Love is the former Betty Johnson of Oasis. Mrs. Laura Robison and her son, Clair, with his recent bride were Mr. and Mrs. Oren Greenwood and daughters, Genine and Jessie Kay, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Bishop, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Bishop and son, Dean. They are all of Sandy, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Brooks Robison and family from Orem are visitors at the Ken Meacham home. Max Christensen, Irene Lewis, Erma Roundy, Leon Lewis, and Mrs. Lois Wilson recently went to Cedar City on business. Before re-turning home they visited at Ced-ar Breaks and Navajo Lake. They reported that they had a wonder-ful time. Dickie Stewart from Terreton, Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bird from Kanosh and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stewart from 'Salt, Lake visited wilh Mr. and Mrs. N. R. Stewart, They celebrated Mrs. Nephi Stew-- I art's birthday Saturday night at Oak City canyon. There were 61 present. A fine program and re-freshments were enjoyed by all. Welili Itetniioii Held Aug. TA A reunion of the John Charles Webb and the Simon Webb fa,n. ilies, was held at the home of Wm. J. Webb on Aug. 23, T952 There were nearly 200 members in attendance. A delicious lunch was served on the lawn In the afternoon. Members of the Vamily from every part of the state were in attendance. In the evening a program was held in the Deseret chapel and some outstanding tal-ent was displayed. There were 5 generations pres-- , ent, including a great uncle who is 88 years old. After the program in the even-ing two hAurs of games and dan-cing were enjoyed. r A business meeting was also i conducted in which the officers i were elected for next year. The jj reunion will be held in Salt Art Lake in 1953 and anoutstanding jii time is again anticipated. Ralph Barney, son of Mr. and Mrs. V. S. Barney spent Saturday in Delta. He came" to celebrate his fathers' birthday. Accompany-ing him was Miss Reona Dixon. Ralph has been attending school at the BYU this summer. Will lie Wed SepiesnSser 6 Mr. and Mrs. Allen Kellar, of Hinckley, are announcing the en-gagement of their daughter Carol to Que Alldredge, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Alldredge, of Delta. Carol is a student at Hinckley high school and Que is a student at Delta high school. Both have been outstanding in extra curric-ula- r activities in their schools. They have set their wedding date for September 6, and plan to have a home wedding at Carol's home. Due to urrAjres.'en difficulties the marriage and reception of Ella Mae Turley and Gerard F. Judd have been postponed. The mar-riage was originally set for Tues-day, August 26, and a reception was planned in Delta for Thurs-day night.
